Steven Smyth, Senior Manager, Philanthropy & Campaign Lead (CNIB Lake Joe)

Steven Smyth, CNIB Lake Joe
In his role at CNIB Lake Joe, Steven has seen firsthand the powerful impact of the Chamber’s support. Through the Chamber, CNIB Lake Joe has built meaningful relationships that have elevated its signature event and opened the door to enriching partnerships that have enhanced the camp experience for all involved.
Community connection has always been central to Steven’s work. From rallying support for important causes to securing local sponsorships and partnerships, he believes strongly in the power of relationships to drive meaningful change. The spirit of collaboration within the Muskoka Lakes community is something Steven admires and has cherished throughout his time at CNIB Lake Joe—and it’s a community he’s eager to give back to by serving on the Chamber’s Board.
Beyond his professional role, Steven has contributed to a number of community initiatives. He’s served as Fundraising Chair and Vice Chair for The Gilbert Centre, as well as Fundraising Chair for both Fetch and Releash and the Pride and Remembrance Run. Additionally, he shares his expertise by mentoring future fundraisers and teaching Fundraising Events and Corporate Sponsorships at George Brown College.
These experiences have underscored the incredible outcomes that can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose. Steven sees the Chamber as a shining example of that collaborative spirit and feels that joining the Board is a natural next step—a way to give back to an organization that has done so much for CNIB Lake Joe, and to contribute meaningfully by drawing on his own experiences and passion for community building.
