Stuart was born and completed high school in Zimbabwe and then moved to South Africa where he completed a B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics and then an MBA from the University of Cape Town.
Stuart started his business career as a Management Consultant with Deloitte in South Africa and Canada moved to Canada in 1986.
He co-founded a Canadian mid-market investment banking firm in 1989. During this time, he served as interim President of three companies and in 1996 he and his family moved to Gravenhurst. Stuart pivoted to provide succession consulting services to family-owned businesses.
He co-authored a business book “Weather the Storm. Survival Guide for Your Mid-Market Organizations.
For three years he was a Guest Lecturer for the Advanced Corporate Finance Course provided by CPA Canada (Chartered Professional Accountants Canada).
Stuart has been a guest lecturer at Georgian College, Ryerson University and Wilfred Laurier University.
