Enjoy Friday movie nights at the Muskoka Discovery Centre this June, featuring Canadian films from the National Film Board catalogue. Each film explores themes of culture, nature, water, healing and belonging.

The series begins Friday, June 12 and continues every Friday throughout the month.

June 12 – Voices Across the Water
Directed by Fritz Mueller, this documentary follows two master boat builders as they practise their craft and reconnect with balance, healing and purpose.

June 19 – Waterlife
Directed by Kevin McMahon, this documentary takes viewers on a journey through the Great Lakes, following the flow of water from the Nipigon River to the Atlantic Ocean while exploring the beauty and challenges of this vital ecosystem.

June 26 – Qatuwas: People Gathering Together
Directed by Barb Cranmer, this powerful film documents the rebirth of the ocean-going canoe and honours the strength, tradition and resilience of Northwest Coast Indigenous culture.
