A ‘bivouac’– an old military style camp/shelter– on James Bartleman Island is part of the Museum’s Butter Tart Festival celebrations. The bivouac will involve two (2) tents, along with a working cannon that shoots out candy and muskets, which will be used to create an authentic re-enactment of Canadian military operations circa 1812. It will be in place all day—from 10-5 and will be fun for the whole family!
