SUMMARY:Bala Plein Air at RMS Segwun Steamship
DESCRIPTION:Thursday evening 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM – Nocturne Sunset is 8:44 PM SPECIAL EVENING EVENT: As the Royal Mail Steamship Segwun sits at the dock in Gravenhurst Wharf on Lake Muskoka beside her sister ship the Wenonah II\, artists of the Bala Plein Air group are invited to paint the storied and treasured historical vessels as the evening sky lights up and the sun sets at 8:44 PM. \nBuilt in Glasgow\, Scotland in 1887\, the RMS Segwun carried the mail\, freight and many passengers on Lake Muskoka to their summer resorts and cottages. The iconic steamship is undergoing refurbishment and restoration and currently has very caring attendants looking after her 24/7. We will meet at 6:30 PM and paint until 9:30 PM. Artists are welcome to paint both a sunset and a nocturne (2 paintings) or incorporate it all into one. At this point there are no plans for a sunset cruise so both Steamships will be at their home dock. Show 830\n19+ show\nTickets  \nThe Beaches are a Canadian rock band formed in Toronto in 2013 by Jordan Miller (lead vocals\, bass)\, Kylie Miller (guitar\, backing vocals)\, Leandra Earl (keyboards\, guitar\, backing vocals)\, and Eliza Enman-McDaniel (drums).[1] The band released two EPs titled The Beaches (2013) and Heights (2014) before signing to Universal Records. In 2017\, they released their debut album Late Show\, which led to the band winning the 2018 Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year.
