Golfers will also have the chance to win a Kawasaki Side x Side\, sponsored by fellow Chamber Member SWS Boatworks. \nWhether you register a foursome\, bring members of your team or simply help spread the word\, this is a great opportunity to enjoy a day on the course while supporting hospice and palliative care in Muskoka.

SUMMARY:Reading the World: The Case for Geographic Literacy in Education
DESCRIPTION:Join the Muskoka Discovery Centre for the final presentation in its Summer Lecture Series on Wednesday\, September 16 from 10am to 12pm. \nIn this live lecture\, Dr. Gary Pluim explores why education should go beyond reading\, writing and mathematics to include the ability to “read the world.” Through maps\, place and geographic knowledge\, participants will consider how geographic literacy can help learners better understand culture\, politics and the forces shaping our lives. \nThe session is designed to spark curiosity\, conversation and lifelong learning\, and is open to all ages. Refreshments and a Question & Answer session are included. Guests are encouraged to bring their favourite mug\, with tea\, coffee and light treats available. \nTickets are $20.
