DESCRIPTION:Muskoka Discovery Centre invites curious minds to take part in its Summer Lecture Series\, presented in partnership with TALL. \nOnce a month in July\, August and September\, these lecture-style sessions will spark curiosity\, conversation and lifelong learning. July and August feature special Rewind Sessions of popular past lectures\, followed by discussion and insights from subject matter experts. DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of the Muskoka Watershed for Peer Under the Surface\, a fun and educational environmental cruise aboard the Peerless with Sunset Cruises. \nLed by FOTMW’s Dr. Norman Yan\, this cruise offers an up-close look at the tiny animals that help keep Muskoka’s lakes clean. Guests will learn more about what lives beneath the surface\, test chloride levels\, and discover how these small creatures play a big role in protecting our watershed. \nThe cruise departs from the Port Carling dock on Monday\, July 13 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. DESCRIPTION:Kids ages 5 to 12 are invited to explore Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Arts and Math at the Port Carling branch of the Muskoka Lakes Public Library. \nS.T.E.A.M. runs Tuesdays from 2pm to 3pm\, with fun hands-on activities that encourage curiosity\, creativity and problem solving. \nNo registration is required\, but prompt arrival helps ensure full participation. Children ages 9 and under must have a parent or guardian\, including an older sibling\, remain in the library for the full program.
