Beaumaris and Windermere Wharf Review

The Township of Muskoka Lakes has opened the floor to public feedback on the Beaumaris and Windermere Wharf Review.
Project Overview
As part of the 2025 Capital Budget, funding was approved to update the Beaumaris wooden dock and the Windermere floating docks as they have reached the end of their useful lives. The Beaumaris and Windermere wharves play significant roles in the Township’s water transportation infrastructure.
Public Engagement
Public feedback is being collected through Engage Muskoka Lakes until Friday, July 4, 2025, on the following:
- Public Docks and Launches By-law Review (here and attached)
- The Township is seeking input to support a comprehensive review of the Public Docks and Launches By-law, ensuring it continues to reflect operational needs and community priorities.
- Wharf Dock Surveys (complete here)
- Residents are also encouraged to share ideas regarding the future layout, design, and use of the replacement docks.
