Rosseau Lake College – Hekkla is Back
April 24 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Rosseau Lake College has been running The Hekkla since 1977.
The event is deeply woven into their school’s history and identity, serving as a signature personal challenge for the community. It was established as a mandatory experience to reflect the school’s commitment to outdoor education and building resilience—values championed by the founding headmaster, R.H. Perry.
In recent years, the event has also served as a fundraiser for the Robert Carreau Memorial Fund, which supports the development and maintenance of the school’s trail systems in honour of a late Head of School. Reward: A notable tradition is the post-run barbecue. Students who finish within a specific time are rewarded with a lobster dinner!
This years event will start and finish at RLC. After the run there will be a festival vibe with lots of exciting activities from games to Hekkla T-Shirt Making!
