The Soundseals Insulation story began with a simple experience: building a home. When founder Curtis Hinksman hired a company to handle the insulation, he quickly realized there was more to the industry than meets the eye. With a background in marketing and sales, Curtis saw an opportunity to do things differently—by creating an insulation company that puts customer satisfaction, honesty, and doing the right thing first. “We only quote in person,” explains Digiacomo. When someone calls in, they are connected to the salesperson in their area. “If the customer doesn’t have a type of insulation in mind the salesperson suggests what works best for their area, site and budget.” Quotes are always free and the associates are trained to help offer a variety of solutions and coach the customer through the process. The estimating team has a total of about 70 years of experience.
Soundseals Insulation works on new builds, renovations and those looking to increase the insulation in their existing home. There are some government rebates for insulation right now and that attracts some customers too. Customers with new construction can call with plans or when the house is under construction.
Spray foam insulation is often the choice for older buildings. The attic, floor, basement or underside of a 
crawl space, nooks or cracks sealed up tight. It also seals basement cracks and crevices. They can also use a foam insulation to repair and lift uneven concrete slabs, walkways or garage floors.
The business has grown to include asbestos and mould removal. Older buildings and those with improper insulation often have mould problems too, explains Digiacomo. “It made good business sense to have staff trained to offer those services too.”
Soundseals Insulation staff trained to deal with asbestos can complete an asbestos test and send it to the lab. If it comes back positive, Soundseals can take the next step. They are certified for asbestos removal, following all the regulations and government standards to comply with removal and disposal of asbestos.
